Research groups of the Faculty of Medicine at Lund University are located in four specialized research centers. The Biomedical Centre (BMC) is a research and education centre in Lund. Protein Structure and Bioinformatics Group. The Protein Structure and Bioinformatics (LU PSB) develops methods and performs analyses to understand biological and medical phenomena at genetic, functional, mechanical and systems level. The group has two major research areas. Cell Death and Lysosomes Group Department of Experimental Medical Science, Lund University, Sweden Our group studies the molecular regulation of cell death and lysosomes and their role in various diseases (especially neurodegenerative diseases, lysosomal storage disorders, stroke and cancer) with the aim of finding new treatments. The Wallenberg Neuroscience Center (WNC) was established in 1996 as a joint venture between Lund University and Skåne University Hospital.
